The first football tournaments came in November with the Fishguard area Urdd tournament. Ysgol Glannau Gwaun entered 9 boys into the mixed tournament and 9 girls into the girls’ tournament.
The boys came second in their group with good wins against Letterston and Casmael along the way. Unfortunately, they were knocked out in the semi finals against a strong Goodwick team, which went on to win the competition.
The girls played each team involved in a round robin competition. Again, it was a sense of close but not quite, as the girls won every game but lost out in the deciding game against Bro Ingli. Second was a fantastic achievement for the girls.
