Words cannot describe how proud I was of the children with their performance of our Christmas poem, at St Mary's church. They put in a fantastic effort to learn the words and actions to well known yet lengthy poem. Many other pupils and staff have complemented the children on their performance and the children were extremely proud of themselves too. A special thank you to our volunteer readers from year 6 also who are relishing in their new role taking on more responsibility. They were lucky enough to earn some extra Amser Aur / Golden Time on the Friday. Thank you for all who attended on the day to support the children.
Recently, year 6 visited the crucial crew set up in Haverfordwest. Here we had the pleasure of sitting in on eleven different talks and activities from different companies and charities from throughout the county. We visited the RNLI, Food agency, PCC Road safety, Western Power, TAF, Dyfed Powys, Fire Brigade, Dog Warden, Coastguard, Ambulance station and Bus safety. Once again behaviour was impeccable and I was extremely proud of them all. They all listened well, were kind and polite and participated well with the leaders and came away with a fantastic goody bag! Very pleased. 😀
We would like to send out a big congratulations to our Glannau Gwaun football teams to played in a friendly against Ysgol Ger y Llan today and were victorious. Four boys from our class participated whilst the rest of us cheered them on from the sidelines. Da iawn plant!
Words cannot describe how proud I was of the children with their performance of our Harvest poem, at Hermon. They put in a fantastic effort to learn a seven verse poem off by heart (with actions), in the short space of one week. Many other pupils and staff have complemented the children on their performance, with Mr Williams highlighting their brilliance, on the day itself in front of the congregation. They were lucky enough to earn some extra Amser Aur / Golden Time on the Friday. Thank you for all who attended on the day to support the children.
Overall, I was extremely pleased with the way that the children conducted themselves throughout the day. They enjoyed looking around the museum and interacting with the different displays.
Also, we were lucky enough to be included in a news piece that was taking place at the Quentin Blake exhibit. As the TV crew filmed, we were filmed in the background drawing our own versions of the characters from the famous Roald Dahl books.
