Autumn Term 2 - Towers, Tunnels and Turrets
This half term out theme is Towers, Tunnels and Turrets. We will be exploring what it was like to live in a castle. What did knights have to wear when they went in to battle. How did they protect themselves? We will also look at what materials will build the strongest tower.
We will explore stories such as Rapunzel, The Tunnel and The Three Billy Goats Gruff. Who will make the strongest bridge using spaghetti and marshmallows?
Remembrance Day.
In class this week, we have been learning all about Remembrance Day. We have looked at why we have purple poppies and made poppies by weaving wool to put in our remembrance garden in school.
It has been a busy week in LRC 2 this week. We have been exploring prepositions in Math with green and blue group finding and making right angles.
In Language and theme we have been working as a class to create a castle using junk material and learning all about knights.
To end the week, we celebrated and raised money for Children in Need and even had a suprise visit from Pudsey!
