This term our theme was The Enchanted Woodland.
Here are some of the activities that we have been completing whilst we have been learning at home.
In art we looked at Andy Goldsworthy and then we created lots of art using natural materials which we collected when we were out on our daily exercise.
In Language and Literacy, We have been busy listening to lots of stories whilst learning at home. We have been retelling them through story mapping and using stick figures, writing alternative endings, designing new Wild Things and designing a new Gingerbread House.
We have been learning about animals and their habitats and have created simple fact files on our favourite animals.
We have also been very lucky and have enjoyed two live sessions from some visitors. The Darwin Science Project joined use for a morning and we learnt all about hedgehogs. The second was from Manor Wildlife Park where we enjoyed seeing the Meerkats.
We have also been using our Math skills in the kitchen and been busy baking Valentine Heart biscuits to share with someone we love.
Here is some of our work.
We have also been working on our Math skills whilst learning at home. In LRC 2, we have been learning our numbers, adding and taking away, and money.
In LRC 3, we have been finding right angles in our houses and in our names, we have been practicing writing numbers in words without help, In money, we have been working out how much change to give people along with addition, subtraction and multiplication.
